| On Super Bowl Weekend, 140 million Americans will tune in to the Super Bowl football game. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fellowship. At the same time, there will be people worrying about staying warm, finding shelter and a warm meal. On this weekend, RLSM will participate in the 30 Hour Famine and get a taste of hunger by not eating - something more than a billion people around the world experience every day. The fast will begin on Saturday, Feb. 6th at 7:00 am. On Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 7th) after Sunday School and 2nd Service, RLSM will be hosting a Soup Luncheon! All proceeds will go to the Soup Kitchen in downtown Huntington and canned goods will also be collected for Love INC. The 30 Hour Famine will end on Sunday at 1:00 pm after students have finished serving at the luncheon. The weekend will end Sunday evening with a combined meeting (Launch & The Current) from 5-6:30 pm where we will discuss world hunger and the role we play in fighting world hunger.
